A Texas Leader in Commercial Wall Systems
NOW Specialties was incorporated in March 1996, and is currently the leading commercial wall systems fabricator in Texas.
NOW was the first ACM fabricator in Texas and was one of the first two MCA Premium Fabricators. We are still Trespa’s only National Fabricator in the area. As a turn-key subcontractor, we install nearly 1 million square feet of material annually. NOW has an excellent history with 3A Composites (Alucobond), Arconic (formerly Alcoa, manufacturers of Reyonbond) and Mitsubishi Chemical Composites America, Inc. (Alpolic).
We Only Bid Fire Rated Material
NOW currently stocks six MCM systems that are tested to structural loads of 50psf or more. We have a cumulative performance bond capacity of $30 million, and a capacity of $15 million for any one contract. We are centrally-located for shipments anywhere in the continental U.S., and are an authorized fabricator of a variety of products. In July 2017, in the wake of the Grenfell fire, we rewrote our specifications and chose to bid only fire-rated (FR) material, even in those cases when the cheaper, unrated material was specified.
Today, NOW Specialties has shop space of over 50,000 square feet. We have an office staff of 45 and a field staff of almost 300. Our portfolio of completed projects exceeds $300 million in contract sum and demonstrates our experience with large scopes, complex geometries and tight schedules.

Premium MCM Fabricator Certification
NOW Specialties was among the two first fabricators to receive the Premium MCM Fabricator certification from the Metal Construction Association. The certification is based on years of experience, quantity of material fabricated each year, tested systems and financial strength.
The Metal Construction Association (MCA) is a nationwide trade organization through which members of the construction industry can develop programs that promote the integration of metal in design and ensure its proper use. The MCA’s mission is “expanding the use of metal in construction through marketing, technology, and education.”
The Premium MCM Certification is an important part of this mission, offering to the design community a single, reputable source for MCM fabricator selection. Fabricators certified as “Premium MCM” by the Metal Construction Association must demonstrate longstanding experience, exceptional quality and a broad base of services. As of this publication date, only five other US-based fabricators qualify for this mark. NOW is proud to be a member of this select group.
